Louise and Jamie Redknapp granted divorce

Louise and Jamie Redknapp have been granted a divorce after 19 years of marriage.

Strictly star and former pop singer Louise announced they had separated earlier this year, saying she felt like “a sort of Stepford wife”.

She and the former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder have two sons – Charley, 13, and Beau, nine.

The decree nisi was granted at a brief court hearing in central London on Friday.

The Redknapps married in 1998 on a luxury 130ft yacht called Lady Tamara in Bermuda.

Neither party was present at the Central Family Court.

Once a decree nisi has been granted, the divorce petitioner must wait six weeks and a day to apply for a decree absolute to formally end the marriage.
